Positions

This list of positions is not exhaustive, but rather a starting point of priorities. They are presented to give a fuller picture of a handful of the issues that are of concern for those in the district who are impacted by them on a daily basis.

Economy

We can no longer ignore the effect that climate change has on the economy, thus green collar jobs must play a larger roll in what I call the "Eco-Eco" premise.

Federal Spending

We need to address federal spending and federal deficits with laser-like focus.

Agriculture

We must focus on supporting family farms and new farmers by focusing on regional, smaller farms where we can regionalize crops and ensure safety practices.

Education

We should expand programs that help children thrive in school, such as mobile clinics, universal school lunch programs and addressing the financial disparities of different school districts.

Gun Control and the 2nd Amendment

The overarching issue is promoting gun safety as the US Surgeon General has declared "gun violence is a public health crisis."

Health Care

We need to strengthen healthcare safety nets by expanding access to rural communities while keeping costs affordable.

Immigration

Work to reestablish bipartisan solutions and create more streamlined pathways to residency and citizenship.

Infrastructure

We must move forward on low carbon solutions in transportation and address the effects that climate change is having on infrastructure.

LGBTQIA+ Rights

Focus on upholding and implementing existing protections through the Illinois Human Rights Act.

Manufacturing

We should focus on "re-shoring" some of our manufacturing processes and empower manufacturing businesses to "trickle-up" their own opportunities
