It's not peace. It's an arms race.

All of these events occurred on September 15th:

From United Press International: “North Korea test-files 2 ballistic missiles, draws concern from Asia leaders”. (1)

From the BBC: “S Korea submarine missile launch makes history”. (2)

From CNN: “Biden and UK to help Australia acquire nuclear-powered submarines in new pushback on China”. (3)

Regarding the submarine arrangement, President Biden said that it will “…maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific, and build a future of peace, opportunity for all the people of the region.” (4)

Three missile tests launched almost simultaneously by bitter adversaries. An announcement that more nuclear submarines are on the way. All on the same day and in the same region.

“A future of peace”, says the president.

No.
