Cheerleading in the Maw of Futility
ChildStats.gov estimates that there are 24.8 million children in the United States aged zero to five. (1)
By extension, there are perhaps five million children under the age of one.
Jill Biden and the surgeon general, Vivek Murthy, were on hand at Dulles Airport (near Washington) to welcome “...the delivery Wednesday (May 25, 2022) of a second shipment of tens of thousands of pounds of baby formula that the Biden administration is importing from Europe to ease critical supply shortages in the U.S.” (2)
Said Murthy: “(W)e now have brought the equivalent of 1.5 million eight-ounce bottles of infant formula to the United States.” (2)
Let’s see. 1.5 million bottles divided by five million infants equals…..about one-third of a bottle for each child.
And that’s for just one feeding.
This is to be taken as success?
